Grampians National Park: Feb 13

Day 2 and more beautiful sights and lots of wildlife! All the wildlife we saw were in their natural habitat which was amazing. The first stop was the 12 apostles (only 8 are left because of erosion). Then we stopped at a few more sights along the coast before heading to a park for a picnic lunch. On our way in, we saw a koala eating in the tree and then while we were eating, emus decided to join us in the park only a few meters away. The last stop for the day was a hike to a lookout point at the top of a mountain. The pictures can’t even begin to capture the beauty! On the way back down, we encountered some of the damage from the bush fires that were in the area only a few weeks ago. It was definitely an interesting sight to see. When we arrived at the hostel in Halls Gap, we were greeted by kangaroos everywhere! Certainly lots of wildlife today!

  1. Wow, can't believe you were that close to kangaroos in their nature environment. That is soooo neat!! Love the coastline also. Looks like you are seeing so much.

  2. What a great adventure you are on, pictures probably don't do justice to the views you are experiencing. Stay safe and have a fabulous time. Colleen

  3. WOW!!! Amazing pictures...love how close you get to the kangaroo's and koala's, but not the snakes. Hope you have lots of memory space for pictures. Noticed the freckles are starting to show :) Enjoy this adventure because nobody deserves it more than you. Stay safe and have fun!

    1. Thanks :) I used a lot more zoom for the snake pics than the kangaroo and koala pics, don't worry. I am after all Vicki's daughter! It doesn't show much in the pics but there's lots of freckles and I'm even starting to get a tan... maybe in 2 weeks or so ill be nice and brown
